Vasto is a district of Naples where the city has relegated "uncomfortable" functions and communities: first, factories and railways with masses of workers; then evacuees of the earthquake and masses of migrants. This process is identifiable with the concept of "slow violence", a violence that grows silently until a sudden event triggers the conflict, which in Vasto takes on a social character. The aim of the research is the elaboration of an intervention strategy for the regeneration of an urban context in a significant crisis. Following a multidisciplinary methodological approach, the thesis results in the design of asocio-economic cooperation strategy and in the development of reactivation tactics for disused spaces and buildings involving citizens and institutions. Here the HUBs are born, "infinite places" (XVI Architecture Biennale of Venice), pioneers of change, to experiment the construction of commonalities that allow to improve the life conditions of the numerous communities living there.

The regeneration technique derives from the researches of Temporiuso: in colonization, temporary events reveal the existence of the place to the neighborhood; in experimentation, the spaces are equipped and peopleexperience how activities work; in consolidation, the community defines its identity characteristics, definitive of the hub. Hypothesized activities: bar, social laundry, clothes collection, public scale for performances, square for prayer, social kitchen.
